Re: Green water outbreak
most of us have had it! its not lethal to anything so just relax.
the first thing to know is your dealing with an algae/bacteria bloom. it will eat all the nutrients it can while multiplying as quickly as possible.
that being said.. every water change you do is just going to supply more food and continue your "bloom" if you have fish living in this tank just continue with your monitoring of nitrate nitrite and ammonia... keep your tank healthy but dont do excessive water changes.. your bloom with run its course and then vanish
you can filter your water with fancy filters for tiny particles and remove most of it and i also think there is also a chemical treatment for it somewhere..
at the end of the day.. just wait it out.. and put a check beside the "algae bloom" of experiences while being an aquarium hobbyist
on a side note.. if you run fertilizers Co2 and plenty of light... post it up and i can try and help steer your threw it as the light co2 and ferts can keep it going for months longer then in a regular tank..
