maybe we could do a group breeding project on a certain type of saltwater fish, would anyone be interested in something like this ?

How do you envision a group project working?
i like the idea! do tell
we could pick a fish to breed and then everyone who is doing it would make a thread and they could share there progress and what worked and what didnt so that others could learn from it.
thats a good idea. but, i dont think i can afford a saltwater fish... so what about...
doing a harder to breed freshwater fish and a saltwater fish at the same time, so no one is left out?? :idea2:
well i wanted this to focus on saltwater fish, i feel that more needs to be done on the captive breeding of them. why dont you start a similar thread in the FW breeding section and then focus on harder freshwater species.
what fish(s) would you start with?
something fairly easy like clownfish or banggaiis.
i know other members are successful with the banggai cardinalfish but i don't know about clowns.
have you started to do research etc. ? that you want to share. any links?
yes i have been researching for a while here is a good saltwater fish breeding site

How about seahorses? I've been daydreaming about them for awhile now.
i think Shelly is working on seahorses.. ??
Found a big spoon to stir with...
I do have seahorses but I dont have the time or the space to try breeding them. Mine are doing well, even tho they still live in the sump. Their new tank is umm having issues and looks more like a frog pond than a seahorse tank. I didnt know algae came in soo many different colors :D
Well I have a pair of A. percula that I'm working with (although they are not working with me....). I'm also working on a set up for pelagic spawners. Once I get the tank up and running I will start a thread.
