Your tank is looking awesome Cameron. Nice looking red zoo's;) Ya know, you can take that rubberband off and glue the rock to the plug with Loctite superglue gel control? I just put the rubberband on it so it wouldnt get blown away in my tank. The rubberband will rot off soon anyway. Your Canary Paly is still doing ok. As soon as it gets another polyp I will call you. Oh.. it looks like that snail is trying to write your name :)

There is somethign wrong with the torch...its disintegrating....argh....

    Re: Cameron's 10G Nano

If it's not affecting all of the heads yet you may want to frag off the bad parts and try and save any remaining healthy heads. Unless they've totally disintegrated you could try moving the sick heads (after removal) into an area with a medium level of current and lighting and see if any survive.

  10. Re: Cameron's 10G Nano

I dunno whats going on with them...argh frustrating. Has there been a change in the tap water lately?

    Re: Cameron's 10G Nano

You could check the CRD site and see if the water has changed. I think I read in the times colonist a few weeks ago they were flushing mains around town.

I would recommend using RO/DI water.

  12. Re: Cameron's 10G Nano

Its like the flesh of the torch is pulling away from the edges, anyone have an idea?

The current isnt that strong either.

  13. Re: Cameron's 10G Nano

what's your calcium and alk at? how old is the tank, and how long have you had the torch for?

  14. Re: Cameron's 10G Nano

    Alk is 200-230 mg/L of CaCO3

    Calc is about 300argh

    I have been using aragamilk

Could the anthelia be eating up the calcium...I always have a hard time keeping calc up.
