    ro/di and low water pressure

    Hello again
I have an aqua fx ro/di unit. I have consistanly been having problems with low water pressure.
I bought a booster pump about 2 months ago and it was doing great, I was having psi of about 60. Over the last month or so it has been decreasing again and today it was about 25!

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this?? I flushed my ro membrane and changed my pre filter just in case, but hasn't made a difference. Do I need a new membrane, or is my booster pump toast, or am I missing some sort of maintanance?

    Thanks.

does it have a screen going into the pump ? if it got clogged, that might restrict water flow to the unit

no screen (that I know of)
    should there be one?

I'll pull the input tubes off now and flush them and see if that does anything

    no change and no screen.

without the booster pump, my psi is 0, it is barely reading 20psi with the pump now.
Do you think replacing my ro membrane will help?

How old is the membrane? for the most part it needs replacing when you no longer a get a low enough tds reading and back flushing is not helping. I would Disassemble your unit blowing out all the fittings to insure no blockage. If the membrane has lots of usage its possible its time to replace

i would tear the whole thing apart and hook one item up at a time.. not one filter at a time.. one item at a time check hose after hose fitting after fitting.. if your getting 0 psi comming out of it befor the booster pump.. i have a feeling there is something blocking a line or a crimp or connector that was installed wrong and is interfering with water flow... if they are compression fittings.. ive seen one jambed too far into a coupler and after getting tightend up it squished and compressed the end so small water literally driped out.... checking it part for part will show you the exact spot where your having issues.. if this is an on going problem you can put a T in and toss a valve on the other end and then can randomly open them and check for flow... making it easier to identy the pluged filter..
Found a big spoon to stir with...
