Thread: DIY Workshop

  1. DIY Workshop

OK Everyone. We have a full slate for next Wednesday's members meeting.

    Details are:
    Date: Wednesday, March 26th
    Time: 7:00 - 9:00pm
Place: Commonwealth Pool - Arbutus Room.

Please note that food and drink are not allowed in the Arbutus Room - this includes fish, plants and water required to transport them. Sorry - but no exceptions. There is a large concourse area, which includes a small cafeteria, and vending machines - so breaks will be scheduled during the evening.

The Arbutus Room is next to the Library located at the main entrance at the front of the building.

Here's the program of DIY projects that will be discussed.
As always, there will be lots of time for questions, socialising and general discussion.

    Program:
    1. Brent Beyak (mollyb): DIY Siphon using a dish brush
    2. Ron (RonD): Working with acrylic/plexiglas\
    3. Antoine Newman (Newtious): Ballast wiring for lighting fixtures
This will be a very informative session - so mark your calendars!

Please note that this meeting is open to Society Member's only.
There will be time at the beginning of the meeting for new members to sign up and pay dues.

Glad to be a member of this new and ever better society, and thanks to those who're putting so much effort into making it all work.

I am currently out of town on business and, unfortunately, had to miss the meeting. Glad to hear it went well and see the positive feedback. We may do this again in the fall so put your thinking caps on for presentation ideas!

Meetings are monthly - but you have to be a society member to attend. There is a schedule posted in the member's area of the site. Occasionally, we do open the meetings for everyone. The next open meeting will be the AGM on May 30th. We feature different themes for each of the meetings. The next meeting is Tuesday, April 29th, from 7:30-930 at the Sannich Commonwealth Pool. The meeting will feature an in-depth presentation on Ich.

Membership is very inexpensive and helps to off-set the cost to rent rooms, host the website and other administrative costs.

    Cheers,
    Myron
